From the Director’s Desk...
Dear New Life
Friend,
This is a very
special season when we celebrate the birth of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus. The Scripture tells us in
the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1, that the angel
Gabriel was sent by God to a virgin named Mary. “And
the angel said unto her, fear not, Mary: for thou
hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt
conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and
shalt call his name Jesus” (Luke 1:30-31 KJV). In
verse 38 of that same chapter, Mary responds…
“Behold the hand maid of the Lord, be it unto me
according to thy Word.”
As I read this portion of Scripture I couldn’t help
but think of this young woman’s willing heart. She
didn’t argue or complain, or say, “Why me?” Her
heart was open to God and she was receptive to
respond by accepting His Word.
All it took was a willing heart. In the Old
Testament when the tabernacle was being built Moses
gathered the congregation of the children of Israel
and gave them instructions.
In Exodus 35:4-5, the passage reads… “And Moses
spoke unto the congregation of the children of
Israel saying, ‘Take ye from among you an offering
to the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let
him bring it, an offering of the Lord…’” It seems
to me this is exactly what the Lord is looking for
in our day – whose hearts are open to Him.
The ministry here at New Life takes those who are
willing to serve, willing to teach, and willing to
give of their finances to the Lord.
This year has been a very difficult one
financially. We have taken on a second home with
more responsibilities and needs to be met.
Normally at Christmas we purchase an outfit for each
of the women and children; and, we try to bless our
staff. This year we have not been able to buy gifts
for them. In order to close our books and be in the
black we need thousands of dollars.
We are praying for those with willing hearts who
will say, “I want to be a part and give to this work
so that many lives can be saved.”
Our prayer is that God would bless you this
Christmas and use you to be a willing vessel for the
Lord.
Your partnership with us is vital, please help us in
the continuation of seeing many hearts and lives
restored.

might richly bless you as you extend your arms of
love to us.
