About Us

Women who come into the program are usually trapped in a tragic cycle of homelessness, poverty, abuse and substance addiction. They often are not willing to enter treatment at the expense of separating from their children.

New Life was the first residential facility in the State of New Hampshire to incorporate children in its innovative program. It is one of the few programs in New Hampshire that accepts women with their children, even accepting addicts who are pregnant. It remains the only program of its kind in the area. In most cases, drug and/or alcohol use is just one of the women’s problems, and to focus exclusively on the individual’s substance abuse without dealing with other aspects of the person’s life, is like treating the symptoms without regard to the possible cause.

Our method of treatment is to deal with the individual’s whole being; body, soul and spirit. New Life approaches man as a three part being, and emphasizes a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ as described in 2 Corinthians 5:17. It is the most beautiful thing to see a broken, drug addicted woman come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and watch God transform her by His Spirit!

Individual lives are impacted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and with His power to transform their lives. This highly structured, voluntary 12-18 month program includes individual counseling, group meetings and connection to external resources. Onsite classes include instruction on parenting, budgeting, cooking and other domestic skills, GED preparation, computer skills, and college level courses.

New Life’s blend of services, training for self sufficiency and peer support have proven to be effective in helping the women re-enter society for over 20 years. Over eighty percent of the women who have completed the program are drug free and living a productive, self-supporting life. Over the years, literally hundreds of women have completed the program and returned to the community as fit parents and productive citizens.
